Poison, Cinderella celebrate '20 Years of Rock'

Poison and Cinderella , two of the best-known acts from the '80s glam-metal era, both celebrate their 20th anniversary this year, and will mark the occasion with a joint tour.

The two groups have rolled out a massive itinerary that kicks off in mid-June and runs through late August. Stops are planned in more than 50 cities. Details are included below.

The tour will, in part, support career-retrospectives from both bands. Poison's new hits compilation, "The Best of Poison: 20 Years of Rock," landed in stores Tuesday (4/6), and an expanded CD/DVD version of the set, dubbed "The Best of Poison: 20 Years of Rock - Deluxe Tour Edition," will surface May 23.

Meanwhile, Cinderella has set an April 25 release date for "Cinderella: Gold," a two-disc best-of set that "highlights the strength of the band's three multi-platinum albums," according to a press release.

Ticket on-sale information hasn't been announced, but tour sponsors VH1 Classic and Live Nation announced that lawn tickets for the tour's outdoor amphitheater dates will be priced at $20 or under.

Sacramento-based rock quartet EndeverAfter, which recently signed a recording contract with Sony Music, will open most of the shows.

Poison--singer Brett Michaels, guitarist C.C. Deville, bassist Bobby Dall and drummer Rikki Rockett--rose to fame thanks to a batch of late-'80s and early '90s hits that included "Talk Dirty to Me," "Nothin' But a Good Time," "Unskinny Bop" and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn." The group's most recent collection of all-new material is 2002's "Hollyweird."

Philadelphia-based Cinderella--singer Tom Keifer, drummer Fred Coury, bassist Eric Brittingham and guitarist Jeff LaBar--made a name for itself in the '80s with its triple-platinum albums "Night Songs" and "Long Cold Winter," which spawned hits such as "Shake Me," "Nobody's Fool," "Somebody Save Me," "Gypsy Road" and "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)." The band hasn't released a new studio set since 1994's "Sill Climbing."
