Red Hot Chili Peppers, iTunes link for ticket presale
The Red Hot Chili Peppers , who are plotting a North American tour behind the forthcoming album "Stadium Arcadium," are giving fans who pre-order the set via Apple's iTunes Music Store an early shot at concert tickets.
According to Apple, fans who pre-order "Stadium Arcadium" via iTunes will also receive an email with a code that they can use at Ticketmaster.com starting May 9 to purchase concert tickets before they go on sale to the general public on May 13. (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company.) The codes won't be emailed until shortly before the ticket presale begins.
Premium-level members of the Peppers' official fan club will have the first shot at tickets during a May 7-8 presale. Fans who aren't yet members can join anytime between now and May 7 in order to have access to the presale, according to the group's management. More information is available at the band's website.
Apple's digital version of the 28-song double album--which is due out May 9--is priced at $19.90, and will also include a band commentary; a documentary about the making of the video for the album's first single, "Dani California"; and digital artwork.
Pre-order customers will also be entered for a chance to win a limited-edition Red Hot Chili Peppers customized iPod and a set of iTunes Music Cards loaded with the band's entire catalog, and will have instant access to the "Dani California" digital single.
As previously reported, the Chili Peppers will launch their North American tour in August. The initial list of cities where the tour will touch down is included below. Dates and venues haven't been announced.
The group is also scheduled to turn up at this year's Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.
