Briefly: Guns N' Roses, The Beatles, The Clash, LL Cool J
Guns N' Roses , who last performed in the US several years ago during a botched comeback tour, have unveiled plans to play a two-night stand in New York City next month.
The group has booked shows at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on May 15 and May 17, tickets for both of which are scheduled to hit the box office on April 21. The performances will serve as a warm-up for the group's previously announced summer festival dates.
Still no word on when the group's long-delayed album, "Chinese Democracy," might see the light of day.
The Beatles are preparing to sell their music online after years of sitting out the digital-music revolution, according to published reports. The band's entire catalog is currently being digitally remastered and will eventually be available online, though no deals have yet been signed with any downloading services, and a specific timeframe for the downloadable catalog's release hasn't been set.
Joe Strummer , the late frontman for iconic punk band The Clash , is the subject of the forthcoming documentary film "Let's Rock Again!" The flick is scheduled for release in DVD format on June 27 via Image Entertainment, according to a press release, and will feature footage of Strummer's time with both The Clash and The Mescaleros.
Rapper LL Cool J has announced plans to release a fitness book titled "LL Cool J's Platinum Body." The rapper wrote the book with his personal trainer, Dave "Scooter" Honig.
"This workout program changed my life--both physically and emotionally," LL Cool J said in a statement. "Now I want to share with others how they can achieve their own personal version of a Platinum Body."
