Train rolls out new dates for spring excursion
Pop-rock quintet Train has tacked on three more weeks to the end of its current tour, which supports "For Me, It's You," the band's first new album since 2003.
Several new dates in the southeastern US have been added to the tour, which began in March with a series of shows in the band's hometown of San Francisco. The new dates kick in with a May 8 show in Orlando, FL, but the band has also filled in gaps in earlier parts of its previously announced schedule. The full tour itinerary is listed below.
Train's next stop is Thursday (4/20) in Pittsburgh.
"For Me, It's You," which hit stores in January, is the band's fifth studio album, and first since 2003's "My Private Nation." The new-disc was recorded over a seven-week period last year in Atlanta, with producer Brendan O'Brien (Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam) at the controls.
O'Brien has worked with Train before, on both "My Private Nation" and 2001's "Drops of Jupiter."
"For Me, It's You" features the band's new lineup, shuffled a bit since Train released its last album. Bassist Johnny Colt replaces Charlie Colin, and keyboardist Brandon Bush was brought in to augment the band's sound.
