Goo Goo Dolls, Counting Crows unveil tour details

The Goo Goo Dolls [ tickets ] and Counting Crows [ tickets ], who teased fans with a recent notice revealing that the two pop-rock mainstays will tour together this summer, have unveiled much of the itinerary for the trek.

The tour is currently scheduled to visit more than 45 North American cities from mid-June through early September, and more shows will be announced, according to a Geffen Records press release. Tickets for many shows will hit the market in early May.

On Tuesday (4/25), the Goo Goo Dolls [ tickets ] offer up "Let Love In," the follow-up to 2002's "Gutterflower." The new album's first single, "Stay With You," is streaming at the band's website.

The Goos will hype the new album with several television appearances over the next several weeks, including "Live with Regis & Kelly" (4/28), "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (4/27), "The Tony Danza Show" (5/2) and the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (5/16).

Counting Crows [ tickets ] haven't released a new studio set since 2002's "Hard Candy," but are apparently in the preliminary stages of a follow-up.

"Things are brewing," Crows frontman Adam Duritz wrote in a March message posted at his band's website. "We will, in all likelihood, be seeing you soon. We may even see the inside of a studio soon. Things are stirring. It may even be possible to get me out of my house. Kicking and screaming and being dragged ... but out."
