Tim McGraw, Faith Hill launch 'Soul2Soul II' tour
After weeks of hype and preparation, husband-and-wife duo Tim McGraw and Faith Hill launched their "Soul2Soul II" co-headlining tour this past weekend, and continue adding shows to their itinerary.
The outing now features recently added June stops in Orlando, FL, and Charleston, SC; a July date in San Antonio, TX; and August performances in Sacramento and San Jose, CA. Details are included below.
Tickets for the Charleston and Sacramento shows will go on sale Saturday (4/29); those for the other new stops are on sale now.
McGraw and Hill launched the "Soul2Soul II" tour with back-to-back shows in Columbus, OH, on Friday and Saturday (4/21-22). The tour was then scheduled to hit the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville on Sunday (4/23), but that date was scrapped 10 days earlier when organizers determined that the venue couldn't accommodate the show.
"It became apparent over the last few days that the overall production of the Soul2Soul II tour and the total weight load that would be suspended from [the venue's] roof fell outside of the limit that we could safely install at our facility," venue manager Tim Reese said in a press release.
Details on obtaining ticket refunds are posted at McGraw's website.
The tour continues with a three-night stand in the Chicago area that kicks off Friday (4/28).
Last month, McGraw issued a new best-of set titled "Tim McGraw Reflected: Hits Vol. 2," which includes the new tracks "When the Stars Go Blue" and "I've Got Friends That Do." The disc debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart.
Hill is backing her 2005 release "Fireflies," which last August entered The Billboard 200 album chart at No. 1. The 14-track set spawned the hit single "Mississippi Girl," and recent Grammy-winner "Like We Never Loved at All," a duet with McGraw that earned the couple a trophy for Best Country Collaboration with Vocals.
