Steely Dan tackles the amphitheater circuit
Steely Dan--led by the duo of Walter Becker and Donald Fagen--last toured in 2003 to back "Everything Must Go," an album released that year.
Last month, Fagen completed his first-ever solo tour to support his new album, "Morph the Cat."
Steely Dan entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 after mounting a three-year, tongue-in-cheek campaign on its official website, during which--according to their publicist--Fagen and Becker tried to influence Rock Hall voters with inducements such as a 3-M digital recorder, Fagen's childhood piano, and a case of honey mustard.
In the run-up to their Rock Hall induction, the duo released the Grammy-winning album "Two Against Nature," which marked the first new Steely Dan studio album in 20 years. An extensive tour followed.
