Constantine Maroulis takes Betty on the road
Constantine Maroulis , a fan favorite from 2005's "American Idol," will hit the road with his band, Pray for the Soul of Betty, in January.
The New York-based rock quartet will begin its road trek Jan. 16 in San Diego and then work its way through Southern California, Colorado and the Midwest. The tour will then touch down in several cities in the Northeast, concluding Feb. 1 with a date in Philadelphia.
Pray for the Soul of Betty was basically unknown outside of a few New York City-area bars before vocalist Maroulis made an impressive run at the title of 2005's "American Idol." Maroulis came up a bit short in his quest--finishing behind runner-up Bo Bice and eventual champ Carrie Underwood--but many fans still consider him to have been the best of the contestants.
The band released an eponymous recording earlier this year. The limited-edition CD--only 3,000 were pressed--is available though the band's website or through various download services. The band also recently released a DVD, entitled "The Ghetto."
