Foo Fighters set another 'Afoostic' finale
The Foo Fighters apparently are in no hurry to plug in their instruments. The group, which last month announced what it said would be the final dates of its current unplugged tour, has tacked on a couple of new shows.
The new, so-called "Afoostic" shows are set for Aug. 31 at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles--the last of three planned gigs at that venue--and Sept. 2 at Southern California's Santa Barbara Bowl. Tickets for both of the newly announced shows will go on sale Saturday (7/22), according to a press release.
All of the other planned "Afoostic" shows have already sold out, organizers said.
Foo Fighters frontman/guitarist Dave Grohl will be joined during the tour by his regular bandmates--Taylor Hawkins (drums), Nate Mendel (bass) and Chris Shiflett (guitar)--along with guest musicians Pat Smear (guitar), Rami Jaffee (keys), Petra Haden (violin) and Drew Hester (percussion).
Setlists for the "Afoostic" shows will include cuts from Disc Two of the group's latest album, "In Your Honor," as well as other material from the group's catalog.
