Marc Anthony, Alejandro Fernandez, Chayanne join forces
Latin singers Marc Anthony , Alejandro Fernandez and Chayanne are teaming up for a late-summer tour of the U.S.
The trio kicks off the month-long run Aug. 17 in Houston, and stops are planned in 15 cities. Details are included below.
Tickets for most shows will go on sale via Ticketmaster on Saturday (6/18), according to a press release; specific on-sale information was not available at press time. (Ticketmaster is liveDaily's parent company.)
All three artists will perform a full headlining set in each city, and the lineup will rotate nightly, according to organizers.
"I have nothing but respect for these two incredible talents," Anthony said of his tourmates in a statement. "I think that anyone who witnesses this once in a lifetime combination of artists on one stage will get a true taste of what our music has to offer, consider it a celebration of our music."
"It's a great pleasure to share the stage with two artists such as Marc and Alejandro, whom I respect greatly," Chayanne added. "I hope that the public truly enjoys the energy that we each have."
"I am very excited to be able to participate in a tour with two great representatives of our Latin music," Fernandez said. "We are going to put on a great show, and as always, we will pour our souls out on stage."
Anthony, a native of New York City's Spanish Harlem, achieved crossover success with the release of his multi-platinum, English-language albums "Marc Anthony" (1999) and "Mended" (2001). In a press release, he describes his most recent offering--last year's Spanish-language "Amar sin Mentiras"--as his "first Latin pop album."
Puerto Rican pop-star Chayanne released his latest album, "Desde Siempre," in March.
"A Corazon Abierto," the latest from Mexico's Fernandez, surfaced last year.
