Fresh off a fall European tour that wrapped last month, classic British prog-rockers The Moody Blues [ tickets ] are preparing to hit the road again--this time in the US.

They'll kick things off with an early February, three-night stand at the Las Vegas Hilton, and will mostly stick to the West Coast for the remainder of that month before moving on to Oklahoma and Missouri in early March, according to the official Moody Blues fan community website. Confirmed dates are listed below.

The group--which comprises longtime core members Justin Hayward (vocals/guitar), John Lodge (bass/vocals) and Graeme Edge (drums)--released "Lovely To See You," a live CD and DVD collection, in 2005. The set was recorded at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles during The Moody Blues' 2005 world tour.

Last March, the band reissued the first five of its seven classic albums in remastered, deluxe-edition sets. Hayward told Music Web Express that some of the recordings in the '80s were "dreadful."

"So I went back to find the original stereo master and remastered them again from the original stereo master, exactly the one that was used for the vinyl," Hayward said in an interview. "Also, [the reissues were] to give writers credits for the first time on those things because that was a dreadful omission. And so I put a lot of effort into that of my own time and paid for the remastering myself."

In their more than 40-year history, The Moody Blues have had 18 platinum records and sold more than 55 million albums, according to the band's website.
