MxPx tops Tooth & Nail tour

Several artists from the Tooth & Nail label--ranging from veterans MxPx to newbies Sullivan--will head out for a six-week trek that launches May 1 in Seattle and runs for more than a month.

Filling out the tour's bill are The Classic Crime and The Fold, with Hawk Nelson, Project 86 and Run Kid Run appearing at select shows.

Headliners MxPx recently rejoined Tooth & Nail Records after more than a decade away from the label. The group's new album, "Secret Weapon," due out in July, reunites MxPx with Aaron Sprinkle, who produced the band's first album, "Pokinatcha," and went on to work with artists such as Pedro the Lion, Anberlin, Eisley and Emery.

Hawk Nelson is touring in support of its 2006 sophomore studio release, "Smile, It's the End of the World." The group's songs have been featured on the hit MTV show "Laguna Beach," as well as the WB's "Smallville" and "Summerland."

According to a press release, The Classic Crime's new album, "Albatross," has received millions of plays on MySpace and Purevolume.com, and has been featured on various MTV and ESPN programs. The band toured with the Vans Warped Tour, as well as with Emery, Anberlin and Quietdrive.

The Fold is set to release its second album, "Secrets Keep You Sick," on May 22.

North Carolina rock band Sullivan is preparing for the June 5 release of its second full-length, "Cover Your Eyes," produced by James Paul Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Paramore). Sullivan features singer/guitarist Brooks Paschal, bassist Zach Harward, drummer Phil Chamberlain (brother of Underoath vocalist Spencer) and guitarist Tyson Shipman.

Last year's Tooth & Nail tour featured Anberlin, Emery, The Classic Crime and Jonezetta, with The Fold and Far-Less appearing on select dates.
