Sizzla tours behind new album

Prolific dancehall artist Sizzla has announced a US tour to coincide with the release of his new album, "The Overstanding," which is scheduled to hit the street Nov. 21.
The shows kick off Nov. 24 in Newark, NJ, and Sizzla will visit mostly East Coast cities through mid-December.

Sizzla boasts an influential catalog of more than 40 albums. He is credited with being one of a few reggae artists who led a movement to re-embrace Rastafarian values in contemporary reggae music, according to various bios written about the artist.
At the same time, Sizzla has been at the center of controversy for condemning homosexuals and white, Western oppressors in his music.
The artist has remained a mystery to the public, rarely granting interviews and keeping concert appearances to a minimum, according to his website. His dates usually sell out.
