Adam Lambert says album cover is 'For Your Entertainment'

Adam Lambert took to his Twitter account yesterday (10/28) to defend the glamed-out, sexually ambiguous, '80s-inspired look of his new album's cover art, saying it was meant to be "ridiculous."

"Thank you to those who appreciate and understand that the album cover is deliberately campy," Lambert tweeted. "It's an (h)omage to the past."

The season eight "American Idol" runner-up continued: "For those that don't get it: oh well... Glad to have gotten your attention."

Before moving on to tweet about songs from the upcoming release--and the need for Twitter to add a spell-check--Lambert stated simply: "Androgyny. Rock n Roll."

Lambert also revealed that the first official single from the album, "For Your Entertainment," will be the title cut. He said the song "SHOULD" be out next week.

The album is scheduled to be released Nov. 23.
