Hardcore punk outfit AFI [ tickets ] has nearly doubled its forthcoming fall run behind the band's new studio set, "Crash Love."

The California-based rockers, who wrapped a European leg late last month, will take a five-week hiatus before hitting the US tour trail, returning to the road with an Oct. 2 show in Minneapolis. Since last check, the group has added a dozen performances to the itinerary, which now extends into late November. Details are included below.

On Sept. 29, AFI will release "Crash Love," the band's follow-up to 2006's chart-topping "Decemberunderground." The new album's lead single, "Medicate," is now available via iTunes and is currently streaming at AFI's MySpace page.

"'Crash Love' is certainly not a concept album or rock opera by any stretch, but the songs are generally connected by a greater theme," frontman Davey Havok stated at the band's website. "These songs are written from perspectives both sympathetic and critical, as well from both inside the relationship and outside."

Fans can pre-order via iTunes a deluxe edition of the new album, which includes two previously unreleased bonus tracks: a demo titled "Breathing Towers to Heaven" and the studio track "And Too Late for Gods."
