AFI gets intimate with 'Crash Love'
AFI will return to the US tour trail for the first time in two years for a short string of club shows behind the group's forthcoming album, "Crash Love."
The eight-date outing begins Oct. 2 in Minneapolis, just three days after the Sept. 29 release of "Crash Love," stopping by clubs and theaters in the Midwest and along the East Coast. The two-week jaunt wraps Oct. 14 in Providence, RI. Details are shown below.
"Crash Love" marks the California rockers' eighth studio set and first since 2006's "Decemberunderground." The quartet worked with producers Joe McGrath (Alkaline Trio, Morrissey) and Jacknife Lee (Weezer, U2) on the new material, which took two years to complete at Los Angeles' Conway Studios.
A handful of fans won the opportunity to provide backing vocals on the new release through a video contest held earlier this year at the band's website.
In related news, frontman Davey Havok recently launched his own fashion line, Zu Boutique. The online store features limited-edition T-shirts, each one visibly numbered from 00 to 99, with new designs revealed each month.
