Guitarist Terry Corso exits Alien Ant Farm, tour won't end
Citing "irreconcilable differences"--and in the midst of a tour-- Alien Ant Farm and guitarist Terry Corso have parted ways.
Substitute guitarist Victor Camacho has linked up with the group, and Corso's departure won't affect Alien Ant Farm's current tour with 311.
"Mindful of not wanting to miss a date of their current tour with 311, the AAF parties orchestrated this rock divorce to fall between shows," said a statement posted this week on AAF's official website. "Corso departed after a show [Oct. 27] in Columbus, OH, and Camacho, an old friend of the band, was imported on the off days so he could rehearse and be ready to rock by [Oct. 29] in Birmingham. Fortunately, he already knew most of the material."
Alien Ant Farm canceled most of its 2002 tour plans after a deadly bus accident killed the group's driver and left frontman Dryden Mitchell with a broken spine. In July, the recovered group began a club tour that paved the way for the August release of its sophomore album, "truANT."
