All-American Rejects get behind 'World' on spring outing

Pop-rockers All-American Rejects have lined up a spring push behind their latest studio album, "When the World Comes Down," which surfaced late last year.

The band kicks off the month-long "I Wanna Rock" tour April 5 in Albuquerque, NM, with 18 shows lined up through early May, including several shows on college campuses in the Midwest and on the East Coast. Dates are below.

"The I Wanna Rock tour is going to be up close and personal," the band's frontman, Tyson Ritter, said in a press statement. "We hope this is the tour Rejects fans will brag about seeing for years to come!"

AAR's third studio effort, "When the World Comes Down," hit stores in December. The set marks the band's first project with veteran producer Eric Valentine (Maroon 5, Smash Mouth). It follows 2005's multi-platinum-selling "Move Along," which stayed on The Billboard 200 chart for nearly 100 weeks and spawned the hits "It Ends Tonight," "Dirty Little Secret" and the title track. The two-year tour behind "Move Along" was captured on last year's "Tournado" DVD, which includes live concert footage and an in-depth documentary about the band and its travels.

The album's lead single, "Gives You Hell," is currently making waves on Billboard's Pop 100 chart, and a sample of the tune is streaming at AAR's MySpace page.
