Andrea Bocelli readies holiday release

Andrea Bocelli will release his first collection of holiday songs Nov. 3. The album, "My Christmas," will feature Bocelli singing traditional carols and favorite holiday songs in English, as well as a few selections in Italian and German, according to a press release.

The forthcoming set--which, in addition to Bocelli, will feature soon-to-be-announced guest vocalists--will be a major component of a PBS Great Performances special to air this December. The program, to be filmed on Sept. 15 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, will present both Bocelli and David Foster, who produced the upcoming holiday collection.

On the touring front, Bocelli is scheduled to perform three historic classical concerts for the first time at New York City's Carnegie Hall on Sept. 8, 9 and 11. He also is scheduled to perform a series of Christmas concerts in December, including confirmed stops in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Toronto; East Rutherford, NJ; Las Vegas; and Anaheim, CA.
