Andrea Bocelli lines up shows following Christmas album
Andrea Bocelli has lined up a few late-year dates in support of his forthcoming holiday-themed album, "My Christmas," which is set for release early next month.
The Italian operatic crooner kicks off the outing Nov. 28 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and will hit six cities on the trek, which concludes Dec. 13 in Anaheim, CA. Dates are below.
"My Christmas," due in stores Nov. 3, features Bocelli singing traditional carols and favorite holiday songs in English, as well as a few selections in Italian and German, according to a press release. The set boasts duets with a wide variety of guests artists, including Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole, Reba McEntire, The Muppets, The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Katherine Jenkins
The forthcoming set--which, in addition to Bocelli, will feature soon-to-be-announced guest vocalists--will be a major component of a PBS Great Performances special to air this December. The program, which was taped Sept. 15 at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles, will present both Bocelli and David Foster, who produced the upcoming holiday collection.
Bocelli's previous effort, "Incanto," surfaced last year. The 14-track studio effort offers Bocelli's take on classic Italian love songs such as "Mamma," "Granada" and "Funiculi Funicula."
