Long road ahead for B.B. King

B.B. King [ tickets ]'s 60th Anniversary Tour has no end in sight, judging by the blues legend's sprawling itinerary that stretches well into next year.

Since last check, the 82-year-old entertainer has added more than 30 US dates to his schedule, which has him playing all over the country--yet again--through late March.

King, who's been on tour since last year, will play his next show tonight (10/10) in Eugene, OR. On Friday (10/12), he'll perform at a benefit concert in San Diego, CA, where he's being honored by local non-profit Photocharity for his work to fight youth homelessness. The bluesman will stick around the West this month--with shows in California, Arizona and Nevada--and head East in November. His itinerary is listed below.

King decided to forgo touring abroad after 2006, but is obviously continuing his relentless work ethic in North America.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer has released more than 50 albums in his career, the latest one titled "80" to mark his landmark birthday. The collection of duets won a Grammy last year for Best Traditional Blues Album.

In total, King has 15 Grammy statues on his mantel, including a lifetime achievement award. He's also been honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom and was recently given an honorary doctor of music degree from Providence, RI's Brown University.

Next summer, King's hometown of Indianola, MS, is scheduled to open a $10 million museum in his honor.
