Barry Manilow Stands Up for a Cure

Barry Manilow will perform a benefit concert at New York's Nassau Coliseum on Valentines Day in partnership with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The concert will be the first show in the 2009 Stand Up for a Cure Concert Series, according to a press release.

Kelly Ripa will host the Feb. 14 concert, which has been dubbed "Ultimate Manilow: The Hits ... and then some."

A limited number of VIP tickets--which include premium seating, access to a pre-concert reception and a souvenir gift bag--are available through ticketmaster.com or by calling Stand Up for a Cure directly.

Proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which is credited for creating the "pink ribbon" campaign and is recognized by Money Magazine as one of America's top eight charities, having raised more than $220 million.

Last year's Stand Up for a Cure Concert Series featured shows by Bon Jovi, Jerry Seinfeld, Brian Wilson and Dave Matthews Band.
