Beck Brings On "Modern Guilt"

Beck 's new album, "Modern Guilt," which was produced with Brian "Danger Mouse" Burton, will be released July 8 in North America and July 7 in the UK and Europe.

The new album is the follow-up to 2006's "The Information," and last year's Grammy-nominated, digital-only single, "Timebomb." "Modern Guilt," according to a press release, explores Beck and Danger Mouse's shared interest in psych-rock, folk, electronic minimalism and orchestration.

Beck, who is about to tour the UK and Europe, will play his biggest hometown headline show yet Sept. 20 at the Hollywood Bowl. He also is scheduled to play several upcoming festivals including the Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco (8/22), Bumbershoot Festival in Seattle (8/30), and Austin City Limits Festival in Texas (9/27).
