Big Bad Voodoo Daddy takes swing through the states

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy , whose follow up to 1999's "This Beautiful Life" is expected this summer, heads out on a lengthy spring and summer tour that kicks off in early May.
The group's itinerary includes a May 15 performance at the Ventura Theatre in Ventura, Calif., during which the band plans to film a live DVD, according to the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy website. The show is a make-up date for a postponed March 19 performance.
No word yet on when that live DVD might surface, and the band hasn't announced a specific release date for its forthcoming album.
Retro-swing outfit Big Bad Voodoo Daddy formed in Los Angeles in the early '90s, and brought its big-band sound to local lounge circuit. The seven-piece group got its big break when several of its songs were featured on the soundtrack to the 1996 cult hit "Swingers."
