Bon Jovi, NBC Universal launch partnership
Bon Jovi has inked a "Artist in Residence" deal with NBC Universal that will provide the band widespread exposure across the company's multiple brands, including the "Today" show, "Inside the Actors' Studio," "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams" and "The More You Know" public-service campaign, according to a press release.
As part of the "Artists in Residence" program, the "Today" show has dubbed November "Bon Jovi Month." During the month, the band will appear live on every Wednesday and then cap off their namesake run on the morning show with a concert performance on the plaza Nov. 25.
Additionally, Jon Bon Jovi will be the subject of a "USA Character Showcase," which will highlight his work as an artist and philanthropist in an on-air and on-line campaign.
He also will be a featured panelist Dec. 2 at a USA Network and Tom Brokaw-sponsored "Characters Unite National Town Hall," which will address overcoming social injustices.
Furthermore, the band's music--including songs from its Nov. 10 release, "The Circle"--will be heavily integrated throughout NBC's network and cable programming.
