Bon Jovi tour gets boost from Dashboard Confessional

Alt-rockers Dashboard Confessional have signed on in a support role for a good chunk of Bon Jovi 's upcoming North American tour behind its recently released album, "The Circle."
The Chris Carrabba-led Dashboard will be on hand for the tour's Feb. 19 opener in Seattle, as well as most of Bon Jovi's dates in March and a handful of April shows. Information on specific dates can be found in the itinerary to the right.
Released last month, "The Circle" is Bon Jovi's 10th studio album. The band worked with producer John Shanks (Sheryl Crow, Jane's Addiction) on the set, which immediately claimed the top slot on The Billboard 200, marking the group's second straight chart-topping debut and fourth overall.
The album's first single, "We Weren't Born to Follow," hit radio airwaves in August, with a second single, "When We Were Beautiful," following in October.
The group's previous full-length effort, "Lost Highway," debuted at the top of The Billboard 200 in 2007, spawning the hit "(You Want To) Make a Memory." It was the band's first chart-topping album since 1988's "New Jersey."
"After the Ending," Dashboard Confessional's sixth studio album, hit stores last month. The set, produced by Butch Walker (Weezer, Fall Out Boy), is the band's follow-up to 2007's "The Shade of Poison Trees," which peaked at No. 18 on The Billboard 200.
