Bonnaroo dates announced

The 2010 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival will be held June 10-13 at its regular location, a 700-acre farm in Manchester, TN, located 60 miles southeast of Nashville, according to a press release.

Ticket pre-sales for the ninth annual event will begin Nov. 27 and will continue until 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Dec. 31 via the event's website.

Bonnaroo once again will offer general-admission tickets for five payments of $50 plus applicable fees through the holiday pre-sale. In addition, with each ticket purchase, the festival will send a Bonnaroo holiday greeting card featuring a unique photo from a past festival. In order to receive a card, orders must be placed by Dec. 16.

The lineup for the 2010 Bonnaroo fest will be announced in late January and early February.

The four-day fest has historically featured a diverse range of major artists, including Bob Dylan, Metallica, Radiohead, Willie Nelson, Phish, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, The Dave Matthews Band, Elvis Costello, Al Green and Nine Inch Nails. It has also welcomed many newer acts, including The White Stripes, Norah Jones, Jack Johnson, Kings of Leon, Matisyahu, TV on the Radio, The Mars Volta, Modest Mouse, Common, Bright Eyes, Death Cab For Cutie and Against Me!

The festival also has begun to feature top-notch comedians, including Chris Rock, Lewis Black, Janeane Garafalo, Patton Oswalt and Brian Posehn, among others.
