Bono, The Edge swing onto Broadway with Spider-Man
Bono and The Edge have been tapped to provide new music for a Broadway musical based on Marvel Entertainment's Spider-Man comic books. The show, "Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark," is scheduled to open next February at NYC's Hilton Theatre.
The musical, which will draw inspiration from more than 40 years of Marvel comic books, will spin a new take on the story of Peter Parker. According to a statement on the Marvel website, "Spider-Man's battles will hurtle the audience through an origin story both recognizable and unexpected--yielding new characters as well as familiar faces--until a final surprising confrontation casts a startling new light on this hero's journey."
Group tickets are on sale now. Single tickets will go on sale in June.
