Bono to write a column for The New York Times

Bono has been asked to write a column for The New York Times, the paper announced yesterday (10/23). A newspaper spokesperson said the U2 frontman will write an occasional Op-Ed page column next year that will cover a range of subjects.

A spokesperson for the ONE Campaign, a charitable organization created by Bono, reportedly said it was not clear if the performer would be paid, but if he were, the money would go to the charity.
