R&B crooner Brian McKnight takes 'U Turn' on the road
Keeping the promotional machine rolling behind his new album, "U Turn," R&B singer/songwriter Brian McKnight is set to play 20 North American concert dates in September.
The outing will visit theaters and large clubs in major cities across the continent.
"U Turn," on the strength of the single "Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda," debuted at No. 7 on The Billboard 200 album chart in April. The album's current single, "All Night Long," is a collaboration with hip-hop act Nelly.
Among the other artists who make cameo appearances on "U Turn" are Carl Thomas, Tyrese, Kirk Franklin.
A smooth R&B artist who has received heavy airplay on several radio formats, McKnight has drawn more than a few comparisons to Babyface, another singer who not only writes and produces his own albums, but also plays most of the instruments.
McKnight performed and produced most of the material on "U Turn," but hip-hop producer Rockwilder co-produced the album's title cut, which features Fabolous and newcomer Six John.
