Briefly: Madonna, Great White, Goo Goo Dolls, Kevin Federline

Madonna 's current world tour is now the highest-grossing tour ever by a female artist, according to promoter Live Nation.

The singer's "Confessions" tour--now winding down in Japan--has grossed approximately $193.7 million worldwide over 60 shows, its promoter claims.

"Madonna has yet again delivered an incredible show for her fans and the success of the tour is the ultimate statement," said Arthur Fogel of The Next Adventure, Live Nation's global touring division. "She absolutely belongs at number one."

Madonna unseats Cher from the No. 1 slot on Billboard's list of top-grossing tours by a female artist. Cher earned $192.5 million on her farewell tour, which ran for three years and 273 shows.

The brothers who owned Providence, RI, nightclub The Station, where 100 people perished after a fire broke out during a 2003 Great White concert, have pleaded no contest to multiple involuntary manslaughter charges.

In a plea deal, a Superior Court judge sentenced Michael Derderian to four years in prison and three years probation, as well as a 15-year suspended sentence. His brother Jeffrey Derderian avoided jail time, receiving a 10-year suspended sentence, three years probation and 500 hours of community service, according to local news reports.

The brothers were accused of illegally installing a highly flammable soundproofing foam at the club.

Former Great White tour manager Daniel Biechele, who admitted to lighting the pyrotechnics that started the fire, was sentenced earlier this year to a four-year prison sentence.

The Goo Goo Dolls will perform a one-hour concert Monday (9/25) on the concourse of the Louisiana Superdome, just prior to the official re-opening of the venue, which suffered severe damage during Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. The band's set list will include the hit single "Better Days," which will air live nationally on ESPN.

As previously reported, U2 and Green Day are also scheduled to perform at the Superdome during the cable network's Monday Night Football pre-game show.
