Buckcherry adds headlining gigs to fall schedule
Hard rockers Buckcherry will perform a handful of headlining shows in anticipation of a fall support tour alongside KISS.
The short excursion gets underway Sept. 18 in Des Moines, IA, followed by performances in Kansas City, MO (9/19), Omaha, NE (9/20), Moline, IL (9/22) and Champaign, IL (9/23). At present, only one show with KISS has been confirmed for Sept. 25 in Detroit, though more dates are expected to roll out in the near future. Details are below.
KISS announced a North American run with Buckcherry in May and partnered with social networking site Eventful to allow fans to nominate and vote for the tour's stops. As of late May, 15 of the top 20 markets were Canadian cities, according to Billboard.com. Online voting ended June 30.
In conjunction with the outing, Buckcherry is offering fans the opportunity to win tickets to one of the support shows by leaving a message on the band's hotline with a suggested tour stop. More details about the contest are available at the group's MySpace page.
Buckcherry continues to promote "Black Butterfly," the group's fourth studio set, which hit shelves last fall.
