Cher revives Vegas residency, takes show into 2010

After taking a summertime break, Cher will return to her Las Vegas residency later this month with new theatrics and more glitzy costumes by legendary designer Bob Mackie.
The iconic singer will take to the stage at Caesars Palace beginning Nov. 19, followed performances four nights a week through mid-December. The residency will be on hold over the holidays, but will return for a slew of 2010 dates slated for April and May. The full schedule is shown below.
Tickets for the November and December concerts are available now via Ticketmaster, while the 2010 performances go on sale Saturday (11/14). (LiveDaily is an operating unit of Ticketmaster Entertainment, which also owns Ticketmaster.)
Cher's 90-minute showcase will include a new opening sequence, as well as theatrics that will pay tribute to the 1940s and 1950s, according to a press release.
The Caesars Palace gigs began last May, following a deal with promoter AEG to play approximately 200 shows at 4,300-seat venue over the course of three years. The over-the-top extravaganza features songs spanning Cher's extensive career and includes 18 dancers, along with aerialists, special effects, and dramatic scenery change, along with the Mackie-designed costume wardrobe.
