Coheed and Cambria ready massive box set

Coheed and Cambria will release a box set March 3 that documents Neverender, a four-night concert event during which the band performed each of their four albums in their entirety on consecutive nights, according to a press release.

During the Neverender event--held Oct. 22-25, 2008 at New York's Terminal 5--the prog-rockers performed every song from each of their albums, many never before played in concert. Neverender's New York dates, which sold out in three hours, spawned three other sold-out stands, in Los Angeles, Chicago and London.

"The Children of the Fence" box set documents the New York event with four live DVDs, four live audio CDs, one documentary DVD, a 10x10 hardcover 48-page photo book and a 7-and-a-half-inch custom dragonfly. A condensed two-disc DVD also will be made available.

The concerts were recorded and mixed without any overdubs, using only what was performed during the October engagement. The box set includes clips from all three Neverender events, b-roll footage with dozens of interviews, and a special appearance by Warren Haynes of Gov't Mule, who joined the band during their encore on the final night of the event.

Pre-sales for the box set began on Dec. 12. All who pre-order will get their names included on a "Children of the Fence" page inside the book, the first 3,000 copies of which will be signed by the band.

Coheed and Cambria will begin a tour with Slipknot on Jan. 23.
