"Breakthrough" hit shelves in August, landing at No. 1 its first week in stores. The 12-track album features new material written by the California-based songstress with the help of co-writers Rick Nowels, Jason Reeves, John Shanks and "American Idol" judge/songwriter Kara DiGuardi.

"On this record, I was able to contribute a lot more of my production ideas into the recording," Caillat explained in a press release. "I had a better sense of how I know the songs should sound and feel, and what instruments should be added or taken away from them. Because I didn't get to do that on 'Coco,' to really be able to make these songs completely my own was a special experience for me."

The 24-year-old SoCal native was discovered with the help of her MySpace page, leading to her major label debut, "Coco," which surfaced in 2007. The album debuted at No. 5 on The Billboard 200, while "Bubbly," the lead single, landed at No. 2 on the magazine's Pop 100 chart.
