Crosby, Stills & Nash lengthen US road trip
Crosby, Stills & Nash have further filled out their summertime tour schedule, adding a second US leg to their impending world outing.
Since last check, the veteran rock trio--David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash--has tacked on an additional 23 stateside stops, creating a two-part, 43-city run hitting amphitheaters and music halls from coast to coast through early fall. The four-month tour kicks off June 3 in St. Louis, the day after the group releases "Demos," a Rhino Records album featuring 12 previously unreleased tracks recorded between 1968 and 1971. The full schedule is shown below.
Following the mid-June conclusion of the North American trek's first leg, the Grammy-winning outfit will be inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame June 18 in New York City. The honor comes just over a decade after their 1997 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The group will then head across the pond for a 9-date European leg before returning to the US for a second round of performances that gets underway July 25 in Portland, ME, and finishes up with a two-night finale in San Diego Sept. 28-29.
CSN first formed in 1968, with each member coming from another influential group: David Crosby from The Byrds, Stephen Stills from Buffalo Springfield and Graham Nash from The Hollies. The band's most recent collection of original material, "After the Storm," surfaced in 1994.
