Cursive extend 'Swollen' spring run

Indie-rock act Cursive will continue its spring trek of the US behind its recently released album, "Mama I'm Swollen."

The Nebraska band, which just finished up a two-week March run, will hit the tour trail again beginning April 24 in St. Louis, MO. The 15-city jaunt will touch down in clubs and theaters across the eastern half of the nation, finishing up May 9 in Chicago, IL. Philadelphia rock outfit Man Man will open most shows. Details are below.

"Mama I'm Swollen," the group's sixth studio set, hit shelves March 10. Saddle Creek Records released the album 10 days early on their website, offering a digital download of the record for $1 on May 1 and increasing $1 each day until the official release May 10.

The Omaha-based band made a trip down to the South by Southwest Music Conference in Austin, TX, in mid-March in support of the new record. The album's latest single, "From the Hips," is available for download at the band's website, along with a video for the new track.

In honor of Record Store Day April 18, Cursive paired with Ladyfinger to create a limited-edition split 10-inch picture disc, which features one album track and one previously unreleased track from each act. The exclusive record will be available at participating independent music retailers. A list of locations nationwide can be found at the Record Store Day website.
