Deftones [ tickets ] bassist Chi Cheng was transferred last week to a brain-rehabilitation hospital in Northern California, according to an update at his band's blog. He remains in a coma.

The 38-year-old Cheng has been hospitalized since a November car accident in Santa Clara County left him in a coma and on life-support.

The new hospital specializes in the care and management of traumatic and non-trauma related brain injuries with a team of highly skilled therapists, nurses and consultants.

The band has asked for continued prayers for Cheng and thanks its fans for all the love and support shown since his accident.
