New Eagles single released to radio
The first single from the upcoming Eagles album, a track titled "How Long," debuted on radio stations across the country today, and will be available for download beginning Monday (8/20).
The single--as well as pre-release orders for the new album "Long Road Out of Eden," which will roll out in October--will be available exclusively via walmart.com, samsclub.com and eaglesband.com, according to a press release. The track is also streaming at the band's MySpace page.
"Long Road Out of Eden"--to be sold exclusively by Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, walmart.com, samsclub.com and eaglesband.com-- will be the first album of all-new Eagles material since "The Long Run" hit stores more than 28 years ago.
The band recently filmed the video for "How Long" in Los Angeles, and it is set to premiere at midnight EDT on Aug. 20 on yahoo.com. It's set to debut the following week on the CMT cable network.
Last year, the Eagles and Wal-Mart Stores announced they entered a "long-term strategic marketing agreement that will encompass sponsorship, exclusive audio and video releases, and product visibility," according to a statement issued at the time by the big-box retailer.
The Eagles are scheduled to play six dates in October with the Dixie Chicks to mark the grand opening of the city's Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles.
