Everclear continues 'Different Light' trek

Alt-rockers Everclear have extended their fall club and theater run of the US into November as they continue supporting their recently released album, "In A Different Light."

The road trip gets underway Nov. 6 in Tucson and works its way along the West Coast for the majority of its 12 stops. The group will finish the fall outing with one East Coast show Nov. 20 in Alfred, NY. Details are below.

For the West Coast tour, pop singer/songwriter Clayton Senne will handle opening duties, as will one new band in each city as selected by fans in a contest currently underway at Everclear's website.

"In A Different Light," Everclear's eighth studio set and first since 2006's "Welcome to the Drama Club," hit shelves earlier this month. The new album marks the band's first release on 429 Records and features new versions of previous hits, including "Father of Mine," "Santa Monica" and "I Will Buy You A New Life," as well as two new songs penned by frontman Art Alexakis.

The Portland, OR-based outfit is preparing an album of new material for a spring 2010 drop, according to a recent press release. No word yet on its exact release date.
