Every Time I Die headlines 'November Reign'

Metalcore rockers Every Time I Die have launched their first headlining tour to support last year's "The Big Dirty."

The "November Reign" trek, which also features The Bronx and Stick to Your Guns, kicked off last weekend in Quebec and continues tonight (11/5) in London, Ontario. The bands will cross over to the US Thursday (11/6) with a gig in Grand Rapids, MI, and they'll make their way from the Midwest to the East Coast through Nov. 23. Details are listed below.

The tour's name is a clever spin on the Guns 'N Roses tune "November Rain," and since GNR has finally decided to release its long-awaited new album, "Chinese Democracy," this month, Every Time I Die thought it fitting to point out the coincidence.

"Thanks a s---load Axl [Rose]," ETID said in a tongue-in-cheek open letter to the Guns 'N Roses frontman. "You haven't put out a GNR record in 10 years and the month we decide to go out on a tour cleverly named 'November Reign,' you find it prime time for 'Chinese Democracy' to hit shelves. You couldn't have waited another 3 weeks? We haven't done a single headlining tour on 'The Big Dirty' so this was a really big deal for us."

The letter, which also announces Every Time I Die's touring schedule, concludes with, "p.s., you rock."

"The Big Dirty," ETID's fourth full-length studio album, surfaced last fall and reached No. 41 on The Billboard 200. Several selections from the disc--produced by Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan, Sepultura)--can be found at the band's MySpace page.

The Buffalo, NY-based rockers, founded in 1998 by brothers Keith and Jordan Buckley, recently became free agents after fulfilling their obligation to Ferret Music.

''We are talking to some labels right now; I think people will be very pleased to know that it looks like we will not be signing with a major," vocalist Keith Buckley told Rock Sound in a recent interview.

He added that Every Time I Die intends to start writing material for a new album at the end of this year.
