Featured Photos: Andrew Bird, the Greek Theatre, Berkeley, CA - July 11, 2009

The music of Andrew Bird has been described as baroque pop, folk rock and Indie rock. But whatever genre you want to call it, there's no doubt the Chicago native is decidedly creative.

The violin-wielding Bird is known to whistle, tap, stomp, and play a multitude of instruments, including the glockenspiel. By age four, his music education had already started by way of the Suzuki method, and he eventually went on to graduate from Northwestern University.

Currently touring in support of his latest album, "Noble Beast," Bird will be making the rounds across the US through late October. Last week, he performed at the Greek Theatre in Berkeley, CA, on his birthday (7/11), and LiveDaily's Tim Mosenfelder was there to take some photos.
