David Archuleta is living proof it's not about who wins but how you play the game. Despite being runner-up on last year's "American Idol"--reportedly earning 44 percent of 97 million-plus votes--the experience obviously helped the young man transform from a shy "boy next door" to a full-fledged performer.

In the winter of 2008, Archuleta's self-titled first album debuted at No. 2 on The Billboard 200 chart. The set, which includes the single "Crush," reportedly has sold over 900,000 copies worldwide to date.

Currently touring in support of his latest single, "A Little Too Not Over You," fans can catch David Archuleta at cities around the US through late August. LiveDaily photographer Tim Mosenfelder attended his concert in Sacramento on Thursday (7/16), and here are some of his best shots.
