Formed in 1996 in Quincy, MA, Celtic-punk band Dropkick Murphys blend traditional Irish songs and American folk music with punk rock.

The group--inspired by bands like The Pogues , Thin Lizzy and Stiff Little Fingers --is big on performing live. Not only have they toured around the world, they've also become known for their St. Patrick's Day weekend shows and for warming up Boston sports fans at Red Sox and Bruins games.

Dropkick Murphys currently are on tour in support of last year's release "The Meanest of Times," and fans can catch them in concert across the US through early March. LiveDaily's Tim Mosenfelder attended their show in San Francisco on Saturday night (2/21), and here are some of his photos.
