If you're one band among the tens of thousands in this modern world of short attention spans, it pays to know your audience--better yet it's just smart to let your potential fans know right up front where you're coming from. Case in point, Five Finger Death Punch [ tickets ], a.k.a. 5FDP.

In four short years, the Los Angeles based heavy metal group has gained a reputation for delivering high-impact performances. 5FDP's live shows regularly provoke cathartic antics from fans, so much so that the band claims it's not permitted to perform without a barricade.

Lead vocalist Ivan "Ghost" Moody and the rest of the 5FDP crew are gearing up for a fall outing in support of their new album, "War Is The Answer." The tour is set to launch next month (9/18) in Las Vegas. Last October, they performed at the House of Blues in Chicago, and LiveDaily photographer Lyle A. Waisman was there to get some shots.
