Seattle's Noise For The Needy benefit festival raised cash and sprits last week (6/10-6/14) by way of such artists as headliners Art Brut [ tickets ], as well as Hey Marseilles, The Constantines [ tickets ], Black Night Crash, Grand Archives [ tickets ], I Was a King [ tickets ], Crystal Antlers [ tickets ], Mike Snow [ tickets ] and Throw Me The Statue, to name a few.

What started out in 1991 as the brainchild of Dave Green--who simply wanted to raise money for a struggling soup kitchen--has become an annual event, taking place at venues across the city, including the very popular Neumo's. This year's proceeds will go to the non-profit Transitional Resources, a residential mental-health center in West Seattle.
