Femi Kuti cancels all North American dates

Femi Kuti has canceled his North American tour due to an undisclosed illness. The Afrobeat star had been suffering from a mild case of malaria when he recently spoke to Time Out New York to promote the tour.

Kuti and his band, The Positive Force, were scheduled to play 13 shows, beginning in Boston Jan. 7.

The dates are expected to be rescheduled shortly. It is unknown whether tickets for the canceled shows will be honored at any new dates. Refunds can be obtained at point of purchase, according to chartattack.com.
