Fergie OKed to buy part of Miami Dolphins

Fergie was approved by the National Football League to become a limited partner in the Miami Dolphins football franchise, according to a USA Today report. However, team owner Steve Ross said he and the Black Eyed Peas vocalist, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, have not yet worked out a formal agreement.

Ross reportedly is trying to reach out to new groups of fans and paint the Dolphins as a glitzy team in south Florida.

The team's limited partners already include a slew of celebrity part-owners such as Jimmy Buffett, Marc Anthony, Emilio and Gloria Estefan, and Venus and Serena Williams.
