Roots music fans close to the Canadian border will be interested in the Vancouver Island MusicFest , an established showcase of international artists, including the Wailers, Taj Mahal , Earl Scruggs , and the Sparrow Quartet with Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn. The family-friendly three-day event offers an interactive children's area as well as the usual festival vendors and on-site camping.
