Goldfrapp sprouts fall dates around 'Tree'

British electropop duo Goldfrapp will bring their act to North America for a brief run of dates this fall behind the pair's latest album, "Seventh Tree."

The pair--vocalist Alison Goldfrapp and keyboardist Will Gregory--will launch the six-city tour Sept. 12 in New York City. Other destinations on the trip include Toronto (9/14), Vancouver (9/16), Seattle (9/17), San Francisco (9/20) and Los Angeles (9/21). Details, including venues, are included below.

A Ticketmaster presale event for all shows except San Francisco begins Wednesday (7/23); click here for details about local on-sale times and to buy tickets. Fans should use the code "SEVENTHTREE" (without quotes) to access the presale. The public on-sale begins Friday (7/25). (Ticketmaster is LiveDaily's parent company.)

"Seventh Tree," the duo's fourth studio album, was released in February, with the pair self-producing the set with help from veteran producer Flood (U2, Smashing Pumpkins). The album, which follows 2005's "Supernature," debuted at No. 2 on the UK albums chart, remaining in the Top 5 for three weeks.

The group releases "Caravan Girl," the album's third single, as a digital EP today (7/22). The EP features the album track, a live choral version of the song, a live acoustic version of "Monster Love" and a version of the song "Little Bird" remixed by experimental pop ensemble Animal Collective.
